Hello dear friends !!! Hope you all are doing well. Oh I woke up to tons of snow today !!!! School has been cancelled and it is still coming down. Now this kind of snow I don’t mind a bit as long as I don’t have to get out in it lol So lucky for me I am still off work.
Yesterday I found this clipboard I have had for sometime so decided to do something with it. It already had this design on it and was really hard to find some papers to go with, not your perfect match that is for sure but it will do.
I made a little box for the front of it to add a notepad covered it with some DCWV papers and used some Bosskut dies to spell out Notes. I added a Prima flower with the MS branch punch. Then this cute little hanglar image that was sent to me. So loving these cuties. She has been colored with my copic’s and I adhered her with some pop dots.
Now the notebook inside I just covered with the same papers and added a ribbon. The pen holder at the top (now I just noticed I forgot to put the pen in lol) but I made this holder from a clothespin and just covered it with some paper and some Prima flowers.
Now here is a close up of the little box I attached.
Well you all have a wonderful day. I don’t know what is in store for me today but am going to try to make the most of the rest of my time off.
Sending big Hugs ((()))))
Oh, this is a cute idea! I have a little clip board that I haven't done a thing with and this inspires me to dig it out. Great job and great coloring!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!! We should be getting that snow later tonight... Hopefully the mayor will close the NYC schools... If not, don't think I'm going in told my son he's not going either since I don't want him gettin stranded in Manhatten...

That is so ingenious with those papers & that board - I'd not even have thought to try but it really works & you'd think it was made that way. I jsut love how you've made it all cohere like that - the mauve ribbon & the deep reddish purple of the letters on the box really add superb details. It really is true that all the difference is made by the detail.

This is fabulous Donalda!
ReplyDeleteAnd a great idea to make the little box on the front too. I think you did an amazing job finding the papers to go with it. Sweet image too. This would make a lovely gift.
I hear there's a lot of snow in Pennsylvania too.
My advice....wrap up warm, stay inside and play.
