Oh what a day !!!!!

bookfrontsm

Hello my dear friends !!! I hope your day was well. I tell you my day was well I don’t know the word to use lol

I have seen these gorgeous Book Cards on everyone’s blog , but had never seen the directions until Michelle Roos posted the directions on Whiff of Joy’s Inspiration Blog. Well the directions was great so very clear, but me and the book part had plenty of fights !!!!! LOL Oh I could not get that to work right so I just walked away from it for awhile and then finally got the idea to use Score Tape, So that helped me out some. I was so glad to get that part of the card done, I don’t think I will be trying this anytime soon lol But after all day and finally getting it done I am pleased at hoe it turned out.

I have used one of these gorgeous Hanglar images that a friend sent me. Oh aren’t they cuties??? She has been colored with my copic’s.

I used Bazzill paper for the base and my patterned paper is from K&Co.  All papers have been distressed with my distress it all and then sponged with Vintage Distressed Inks.

My dear friend at work is having a birthday tomorrow but this will be late to her as I don’t go back to work till next week. But what I had gotten her will fit inside her so that worked out great.

I used the Martha Stewart Heart border punch on the front here and added some flat pearls to the spellbinder circle die. The ticket sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. (loving this set) The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaf is from Magnolia, I also have a couple of branches under the flowers from MS. The ribbon I believe I got from HL.

Now here is a side view of the card

And here is the inside. I have added some lace to the top of the book box and then used a spellbinder die also for the base of the sentiment. This circle sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps.

I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday for the front of the card book and am also entering this into the Lovely Hanglar Challenge Blog for the recipe ( 3 flowers, 2 brads, 1 ribbon. I am also entering this into the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog where it is Anything Goes, and also PaperTake Weekly Challenge Blog for Anything Goes

Well this is all I got accomplished today so I do  hope you enjoy. I will be back tomorrow with my final Simply Adorable. Are you all stalking Funky Kits?
There coming soon !!!!!!!!

Sending Big Hugs and thank you so much for your lovely comments.

  4. This is so beautiful Donalda, but I really wouldn't have a clue where to start! It would surely take me a month of Sundays to make something so intricate!
Your friend will love it and it's definitely worth the little wait until you're back at work.
